Natural Encounters
In collaboration with fellow fine arts students from Leeds Beckett University, I had the privilege of participating in an innovative exhibition in response to the "Natural Encounters 2019" exhibition held at Leeds Art Gallery. This unique project allowed us to engage directly with the art curators from Leeds Art Gallery, who selected specific artworks from the collection for each student to respond to. As part of this exciting endeavour, I was assigned an artwork from the gallery's collection, and I embarked on a creative journey to develop a thought-provoking response. The project encouraged us to explore our artistic interpretations, express our individual perspectives, and engage deeply with the themes and aesthetics of the selected artworks.
Our collaborative efforts culminated in the creation of a comprehensive video work that seamlessly integrated the diverse responses of each student. This video work represented a compelling synthesis of artistic expressions, showcasing our collective talent, creativity, and ability to engage with contemporary art concepts.
