The complexity of human emotions hidden beneath the surface of the face. The layered masks we wear - expressions of happiness, sadness, fear, anxiety, lust, and excitement. While the true self remains concealed. The work reflects the inner struggle to shed these emotional masks, revealing the raw, authentic self underneath. Each layer represents a different aspect of the human experience. Different aspects of ourself that we hold on so hard that we forget our true essence, our true being.
Social expectations and judgements, the roles that we are playing in, our own expectations, all of these have forced us to wear this mask as a way of protection, a way to cope with life. Which then have become our reality. Maybe the purpose of life is to let go off all the masks that we wear and to be one with the divine. To be one with the being, to be our true authentic self.
